I started my woodworking career studying guitar building with Irvin Somoghyi in Berkeley, CA in the 1980's. In Santa Fe I have been a professional woodworker for over 25 years now starting in a production shop fabricating window shutters, then creating Japanese Woodwork at Ten Thousand Waves Japanese Spa and installing elaborate whole house cabinetry for large custom woodwork outfits. For the last 18 years I have been producing my own woodwork for clients out of my custom shop on Old Santa Fe Trail.
My area of expertise is design driven cabinetry that is tightly integrated into the style of the building, and is expressing the personality and life-style of my client. I always strive to provide clear guidance and expectations, and to complete projects on time and on budget. So far I believe I have been successful in achieving this goal. I provide detailed CAD drawings to help visualize the project and to tweak all the details with the builder and client.
Cost-wise my low overhead business model makes my projects competitive with upscale semi custom cabinetry from the large national suppliers, but with a fit and customization that is much superior.
